Little Sarah slept in her crib in her own room! She handled it WAY better than Chris and I did and it was probably some of the best sleep she's had in awhile.
I'd planned to keep her with us in our room in the bassinet for a few more weeks, but because she's such an active baby (moves around so much) she kept hitting the sides of it and it was scaring her - especially in the dark.
So, yesterday, we set up the crib with the sleep positioner (to make her feel "cozy") and the video camera (for the monitor) right down in the crib (so I could see her breathing). Chris then decided he would sleep in the twin bed in the room with her to make sure she does ok and so I could get a full night's sleep (what's that??).
She made her usual grunting noises and was up every 3 hours to eat (must be a growth spurt - she was going 6 hours at night between feedings), but she had been doing this all day. I think it went really well, so tonight, she'll be in there all by herself. My big girl!

Sarah and Her Play Mat
I've been putting Sarah down on the floor on ther playmat for a couple of weeks and she never really seemed all that interested, but in the last week or so, she really seems to be enjoying it! Yea!!
Now I just need to keep Riley from getting under there with her...he likes it too!

Sarah and The Furbabies
Here are a couple of videos of Sarah and our furbabies Murphy and Riley. One is of them meeting her when she first came home from the hospital. The other is of her petting Murphy, who doesn't seem to mind at all!
They LOVE their little sister!!

A Great Weekend!

We had such a great weekend! Aunt Sheri, Aunt Bubbs, Uncle Brian and Amelia came down for a visit! It was a fun time of just hanging out, talking and relaxing. It was so great that Lori, Brian and Amelia got to meet Sarah! We can't wait to see them again!
On Saturday, we all went shopping then out to lunch with Aunt Sheri (who finally got her Brown Derby Cobb Salad that she'd been craving since the baby shower!). We brought a bottle for Sarah, but she finished it and was still hungry (her schedule was a bit off from all of the excitement of the weekend). We'd planned to run more errands before going home, but she was "starving" so we ran home first to get more food for her...by the time we got back in the car, she was sleeping! Guess she just wanted to make sure we had food on hand IN CASE she got hungry!
Aunt Sheri flew home this morning. Luckily we'll all be up in Reno in a few weeks and we'll get to see her (and Grandma and Pop-Pop) again!
Thanks, everyone, for coming to visit us this weekend!

The Great Spit Up of '08
Yup, we got quite the scare tonight! The little miss had WAY too much to eat today. We started her on the soy formula and for some reason, she was ravenous earlier this evening and ate quite a bit and then FINALLY slept (after being awake ALL DAY!). When she woke up, she was hungry again (or so she thought). About halfway through her bottle she spit up pretty much EVERYTHING she'd had this afternoon (or so it appeared).
A nice warm bath seemed to help soothe all of us though. Then she managed to finish the bottle!

1 Month Doctor Appointment

Sarah had her 1 month appointment a week ago and she did so well!! She's now 9 lbs. 9 oz. and is 21&1/4 inches long! She grew quite a bit in a month!
She's having some tummy issues, so the doctor suggested giving her 1/2 strength apple juice...we've been giving it to her for about a week now and it seems to help a bit. She's still grunting, stretching and appears to be "straining" but hopefully she'll continue to get better.
